Permission to have one persnickety bit of feedback? There was one part that broke me away from the narrative and that was the bit about Earl Grey tea. It's a black tea with caffeine and citrus, not chamomile. Earl Grey is a tea intended for alertness. But chamomile tea with honey would work for your purposes.
